Dr. Samir Shakfeh obtained his MD in 1978.  He was board certified in anatomic/clinical pathology in
1985 and he completed a gynecology pathology fellowship at Johns Hopkins hospital in 1986.
He further became board certified in obstetrics and gynecology in 1992.  He has been in practice in
Hernando County since 1992 and is a member of the American College of OB/GYN.  He received a
Patients' Choice Award in the last several years.  He also served on several leadership committees at
Spring Hill Hospital. Dr. Shakfeh is a pioneer in bringing the latest procedures and technology in the
medical community of Hernando County.  He is married with four children.
